The FWJO aligns with the NSW government’s aims to strengthen rural and regional communities through its Statement of Strategic Regional Priorities.
The Statement of Strategic Regional Priorities has emerged following consultation and is aligned with its member councils’ strategic plans, programs, priorities and policies to perform three
principle functions:
- strategic planning and priority setting
- intergovernmental collaboration
- shared leadership and advocacy
The FWJO works closely with partner organisations and stakeholders to strengthen the Far West, providing opportunity for its member councils to progress regional initiatives and joint interests through strong collaboration and advocacy.
